Riverview Animal Hospital is looking to add a talented LICENSED veterinary technician and a SKILLED assistant to join our 2 doctor practice. The position would be for 32-40 hours per week with NO WEEKENDS. We take pride in client education and communication and truly subscribe to quality over quantity in the practice of small animal medicine and surgery. Our hospital is equipped with the latest technology to support the medicine we deliver (digital imaging, ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopy, complex dental treatments and restorations, laparoscopic procedures, orthopedics including TPLO, and more.....). The candidate(s) MUST have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the following: catheter placement, blood draws, radiology, dentals, anesthesia monitoring, surgical procedures and prep, surgery room set up, medications, anesthesia administration (LVT only), proper restraint, medical procedures, IDEXX lab equipment, vaccines, injections, and fluid administration. References must be included. These are not entry level positions and only those with extensive knowledge will be considered for an interview. Our LVTs are the right hand for our doctors and their knowledge and confidence must be unsurpassed. The assistants support the doctors, the LVTs, front office and are often the educators for the clients and must also have thorough knowledge and confidence in their role. Must be able to pass a drug test. Wage is dependent on experience.
