SH Service Group is a commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment service company based in Gulfport, MS. We serve restaurants, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial kitchens across the Gulf Coast. We are growing and looking for experienced technicians who take pride in their craft.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring experienced Service Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and commercial cooking equipment at customer locations throughout our service area. This is a field-based role — you will work independently, manage your own service calls, and represent SH Service Group professionally on every job.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, controls, and air handlers
- Service commercial refrigeration including walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, prep tables, and display cases
- Repair and maintain commercial cooking equipment including fryers, griddles, ovens, ranges, steamers, and warmers
- Perform preventive maintenance visits
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally
- Manage parts ordering, truck stock, and job documentation
- Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or cooking equipment repair
- EPA 608 Universal certification required
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and use standard service tools and test equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, gas, and mechanical systems
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized in the field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CFESA certification or working toward it, not needed but encouraged.
- Experience with multiple equipment categories (HVAC, Refrigeration, Ice Machine, & Cooking Equipment)
- Familiarity with service management platforms
- Gas line experience and/or NATE certification
