Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized industrial tools
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate assembly
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to verify component dimensions
- Perform fabrication tasks including welding, soldering, machining, and mechanical fabrication as required
- Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to shop safety standards
- Conduct quality checks using shop math and measurement techniques to maintain high standards of assembly accuracy
- Operate forklifts and pneumatic tools for material handling and component installation within the warehouse or production area
Skills
- Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with calibration tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret manufacturing instructions and assembly procedures
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and specialized industrial tools
- Ability to interpret technical documentation related to fabrication, machining, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of shop math principles relevant to manufacturing tasks
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including forklift operation and manual handling techniques
- Experience in welding, soldering, machining or fabrication is highly desirable
- Understanding of safety practices including PPE use and proper handling of pneumatic tools
