Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
- Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely and correctly.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow strict sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain kitchen hygiene.
- Support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper knife skills for supporting food prep tasks when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety management protocols.
