Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with retail sales, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked appropriately
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Keep the checkout area, sales floor, and coolers clean and presentable
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers using professional phone etiquette
- Support store operations and carry out assigned responsibilities and any additional tasks assigned by the Manager as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, Lottery, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Availability for morning and night shifts, including weekends
- Must be 18+ to apply
