About the Role:
The role of the Lease Construction Manager (LCM) requires effective interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, ability to self-direct, demonstrated background in data center design, engineering, controls, operational requirements, and an emphasis on project/construction management.
Job Title: Lease Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities:
The Key Responsibilities of the Lease Construction Manager includes, but are not limited to:
- Serve as an advocate for managing a safe worksite
- Identify and manage stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables and handoffs with cross-functional teams including Security, Data Center Engineering, Data Center Operations, Site Selection & Acquisition, and Environmental Health & Safety.
- Manage lease providers and support-associated teams and partners in the delivery of RFS (“Ready for Service”) for each lease site location
- This is an onsite position.
Business Processes:
- Maintain the requirements stated in the lease agreement using industry best practices
- Manage Lease Providers and associated internal partners to deliver RFS
- Drive deployment of solutions that can be standardized globally across data center development projects
- Facilitate decision-making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required
- Apply influence, strategies, and negotiation skills to identify options and recommend solutions
Communication:
- Provide project single point of contact for project development and delivery
- Coordinate meetings and activities of Lease Providers and internal SMEs
- Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary
- Report project progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly, or as required
- Provide weekly project status reporting to organizational standards
Accountability:
- Responsible for managing the construction process of achieving RFS
- Work independently in support of the Data Center Development Project Team
- Track lessons learned and identify improvements to share across groups
- Route RFS approval to all stakeholders and regional approvers
- Ensure lease provider compliance with lease agreement contracts
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in construction project management of Data Centers or mission-critical facilities
- Ability to read and understand commercial lease agreements
- Construction Health & Safety knowledge; OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred
Desired Qualifications:
- PMP certification
- LEED certification
- Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar experience
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience managing multiple large multi-faceted projects
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
- Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
Location: (Hybrid Role: 3 Days a week)
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $90,000 – $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
