Job Summary:
The T-Drill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining T-Drill tube forming machines to produce high-quality branch connections and fittings according to production specifications. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and adjusting equipment, monitoring production quality, and ensuring adherence to safety and manufacturing standards. The operator works closely with the fabrication and quality teams to meet production goals while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup C Operation: Set up and operate tube bending machines to bend tubes or pipes to specific angles and dimensions.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings to understand the required dimensions and specifications for each job.
- Material Preparation: Load and secure tubes or pipes into machines, ensuring proper alignment before starting the bending process.
- Monitoring C Adjustments: Monitor machine operations during production to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments for accuracy.
- Inspection: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on the bending machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while operating machinery.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain records of production runs, materials used, and any issues or discrepancies encountered during the process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality control staff to ensure the quality of the final product and efficiency in the production process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience operating tube benders or similar machinery is often preferred but not always required.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in each bend.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or material quality.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting materials, and operating heavy machinery.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and calculating angles, lengths, and material specifications.
Education & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Certification: prefer certification in machine operation, CNC programming, or a related field.

Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
