Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service excellence.
- Manage employee orientation processes and participate in interviewing prospective team members to ensure hiring the best talent
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities to maintain accuracy and security
- Coordinate purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize product presentation and inventory levels
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and enhance store visibility
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage managerial conversations effectively
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales calculations and bookkeeping
- Moving furniture around the store as well as helping customers load into their vehicle. Restocking inventory as needed as well.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development processes
- Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills for engaging clients professionally
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies
