Job Title: Scare Actor

Reports to: Haunted Attraction Supervisor
Bring the scares to life and become part of Camelback Resort's newest fall attraction! As a Scare Actor, you'll create memorable and thrilling experiences by portraying unique characters, delivering immersive performances, and helping guests enjoy an unforgettable night of fright in a safe and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform as an assigned character throughout scheduled shifts.
- Interact with guests while maintaining character at all times.
- Deliver safe, consistent, and engaging scare performances.
- Attend rehearsals, training sessions, and costume fittings.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Maintain costumes, props, and assigned performance areas.
- Work closely with fellow actors and stage crew to create seamless guest experiences.
- Report any guest concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues immediately.
- Comply with all Company and departmental safety standards.
- Comply with Company and departmental dress code and costume requirements.
- Adhere to the Customer Service Standards of Camelback Resort and all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to seasonal and daily Service Guidelines and Checklists.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the Camelback Resort team.
- Actively support all Company initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong performance, improvisation, and communication skills preferred.
- Comfortable working in dark, loud, theatrical environments.
- Ability to stay in character for extended periods.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and perform physical movements throughout shifts.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong customer service mindset while maintaining the attraction experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
- Must be able to speak and read the English language; additional languages are a plus.
- Candidates must be comfortable and able to work in an environment with dynamic lighting conditions. This role involves regular exposure to bright, flashing, vibrant, and rapidly changing lights (such as strobe effects, LED displays, theatrical lighting, or laser systems).
