About Us: Miner Enterprises has acquired Texas-based DFW Grating, a leading manufacturer of metal grating products. The acquisition further expands Miner’s already broad product line, which includes draft gears, outlet gates, side bearings, brake beams, hatch covers and other railcar components. At our Dallas Location, Miner Enterprises, manufactures bar grating, diamond safety grating, and round hole safety grating at its 120,000-square-foot facility. The company's products have a wide range of applications, including railcar running boards, intermodal platforms, end platforms, and brake steps.
Job Description: Welder/
Job Overview: The Welder job duties will vary. You must have the physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Also, the ability to understand and communicate information efficiently to management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform mainly TIG, and other types of weld-based project needs.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
- Set-up and troubleshoot welding machinery.
- Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous project instructions.
- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
- Accurately measure, test, and document results of inspections.
- Adherence to all elements of Quality Management and Safety systems.
- Clean-up work area daily.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Be able to lift to 15-50 + lbs.
- Strong work ethic, and work history.
- Superior attention to detailed.
- Capability work in varied climate environments.
- Available to work hours as needed, OT when available.
- 1 to 2 (+) year’s minimum of experience.
- Excellent oral and communications skills.
Job Type: Full-time
