If you have experience working with children and would like to grow your career in a leadership role, join Minneapolis Public Schools as a lead staff member in our Minneapolis Kids before and after school program! Our staff leads and executes a variety of educational and recreational activities in our diverse, choice-based program.
Job responsibilities:
- Create and implement enrichment choice-based programs and activities for students, including arts and crafts, games, educational activities, and physical activities
- Maintain a classroom environment, ensuring safety and cleanliness
- Provide coaching and mentorship opportunities for Child Care Assistants
- Maintain health and safety plans according to district guidelines and procedures
- Foster relationships with parents/guardians, students, and school district personnel
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Education or a related field; AND two (2) years of paid experience working with children.
Pay & Schedule:
- Competitive pay starting at $26.36/hour with the opportunity for a higher rate depending on experience
- Full-time 8-hour split shift from 6:30 - 10:30 am and 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Monday through Friday only, no weekends
- 52 week year-round position

Pay: $26.37 - $29.85 per hour
