The Inventory Manager is organized, diligent, and precise. This role manages inventory through the use of a computerized database system. The primary objective is to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply. The Inventory Manager must be quick to learn, able to find new and improved ways of completing tasks (thinking outside the box), and able to handle change quickly while properly managing their own stress. This person should help staff solve problems. Your management should foster a team environment that focuses on serving the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee inventory and supply chain management in the following ways:
· Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
· Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
· Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders in the following ways:
· Collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities;
· Process orders for shipment
· Nurture positive relationships with suppliers
· Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
Inform quality control decisions in the following ways:
· Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items
· Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports
· Review reports monthly with management
· Provide customer service as needed
Develop Relationships Built of Trust in the following ways.
· Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed parameters.
· Hire, retain and develop a quality staff providing opportunities for advancement and organizational growth.
· Workflow scheduling, monitoring of productivity and quality, process troubleshooting, and all other activities required to ensure safety and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
