Position Summary
We are seeking energetic, friendly, and customer-focused Servers to join our team. As a Kajiken Server, you will be the face of the restaurant, ensuring guests receive outstanding service while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining experience. As of right now, we are only seeking full-time non-seasonal employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide a warm, welcoming dining experience.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, and specialty dishes, including Abura Soba sauce.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Chowbus system.
- Deliver food and drinks efficiently while ensuring order accuracy.
- Answer guest questions and accommodate special requests when possible.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns professionally.
- Process payments and handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and tables.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the Chowbus systems.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine/language or willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
