Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with educational standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood education principles.
- Design engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs of children from infants to preschoolers.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes child welfare, social-emotional growth, and physical well-being.
- Utilize classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning space conducive to active participation and exploration.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support early intervention strategies and address individual student needs. As well as promote school-home connections and family events, and daily messages.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, and childcare best practices. Mandatory courses completed within timelines given.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development across multiple subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and special education.
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and colleagues while fostering positive relationships.
- Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
