Job Overview
Columbus Micro Systems is seeking an IT staff member to join our IT Recycling team.
Responsibilities
- Refurbish laptops, desktops, and PCs for resale or reuse
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Install and configure operating systems and software
- Perform hardware upgrades and component replacements
- Test equipment to ensure quality and functionality
- Wipe and securely erase data from devices
- Assist with warehouse and recycling operations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
- Experience working with PCs, laptops, or electronics preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware issues
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
