Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew responsible for mowing, trimming, edging, and general landscape maintenance activities.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, safe to operate, and used correctly by team members.
- Uphold safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among crew members at all times.
- Assist with planting, gardening, pruning, irrigation setup, and other horticultural tasks as needed.
- Conduct quality checks to guarantee that landscaping standards meet client expectations and company guidelines.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members to enhance their skills in lawn care, landscaping, construction basics, and tree care.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or gardening with a focus on mowing operations.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in outdoor or construction environments.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape best practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, tree care techniques, and general maintenance procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate team members and coordinate with clients or project managers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ensuring safety standards are consistently met.
