Duties
- Manage the entire lifecycle of durable medical equipment orders, from initial request to delivery and follow-up.
- Verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and eligibility to ensure smooth reimbursement processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, suppliers, and patients to coordinate equipment specifications and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all transactions, including ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding, medical terminology, and anatomy details relevant to each case.
- Review medical records for proper documentation of physiology knowledge and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in resolving billing issues by applying ICD coding accurately and interpreting medical terminology related to patient diagnoses.
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper storage.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems used for diagnosis classification and billing purposes.
- Bi-Lingual English + (Russian) MUST
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to interpret provider orders accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients.
- Ability to interpret medical documentation and apply relevant anatomy knowledge during equipment coordination.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems or other healthcare software platforms.
