Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist and Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge.
Required
- Previous experience working as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or job‑shop environment.
- Strong lathe skills, including ID grind, cut and pressure knurl operations and ability to hold tight tolerances.
- Experience working with large metal parts.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and drawings.
- Comfort working with stainless steel and other hard metals.
- Strong attention to detail and patience for long setup times.
- Ability to safely operate overhead cranes for material handling.
Preferred
- Experience performing repair or rework machining.
- Boring mill, Horizontal mill, index head, surface grind, and OD grind
- Background in industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality‑focused manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work well with others and independently in various situations
- Own basic hand, measuring and set up tools.
