SUMMARY:
The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business relationships and expanding the bank's client base by delivering Albank’s concierge banking experience. This role serves as an ambassador for the bank within the community, proactively identifying opportunities to develop relationships with individuals, businesses, and centers of influence while providing personalized financial solutions tailored to each client's needs.
The position builds and maintains strong community partnerships, represents the bank at networking and civic events, and collaborates with internal teams to support deposit growth and overall relationship development. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, strong business development abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new business relationships with individuals, professionals, and local businesses through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
- Promote the bank's concierge-style banking experience by providing responsive, personalized service and serving as a trusted financial resource for clients.
- Represent the bank at networking events, community functions, business expos, and industry gatherings to strengthen the bank's visibility and reputation.
- Actively participate in local Chambers of Commerce, business associations, economic development organizations, civic groups, and nonprofit organizations.
- Build and maintain referral relationships with attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals, financial advisors, and other centers of influence.
- Meet or exceed established goals for new client relationships, deposit growth, and other bank products and services.
- Maintain an active business development pipeline and accurate records of prospecting activities and client interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities to expand client relationships and enhance the overall banking experience.
- Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail consistent with the bank's concierge banking philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, business development, relationship management, or consultative sales preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing new business relationships through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional presence with the ability to establish credibility and trust with clients and community partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate business development records.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the bank professionally in the community.
- Willingness to attend morning, evening, and occasional weekend networking and community events.
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients.

PAY RANGE:
- $50,000-$70,000 Annual Base + Commission
