We're seeking a Part-Time Piano Teacher to join our talented faculty! This flexible position primarily includes teaching private piano lessons, with opportunities to teach group classes, partner school programs, or other keyboard-related instruction based on your experience and availability.
What You'll Be Doing
As a member of our piano faculty, you will:
- Teach engaging private piano lessons for students of varying ages, abilities, and musical interests.
- Develop individualized lesson plans that encourage technical growth, musical expression, and confidence.
- Inspire students to achieve their personal goals while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and other Conservatory events as appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families regarding achievements and areas for growth.
- Maintain accurate lesson notes, attendance, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty and staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Represent the Colorado Springs Conservatory with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
We're Excited to Meet Someone Who...
- Has a bachelor's degree in Piano Performance, Music Education, Music, or a related field (preferred).
- Has a minimum of 2-3 years of piano teaching experience in private lessons or group instruction.
- Demonstrates strong piano performance skills and excellent musicianship.
- Enjoys teaching students of all ages, from beginning through advanced levels.
- Creates engaging, individualized lessons that motivate and inspire students.
- Communicates effectively with students, parents, and fellow faculty members.
- Is dependable, organized, and able to manage a flexible teaching schedule.
- Thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where relationships matter.
