Atlantic Staffing is looking for a Part-Time Evening Firewatch!
The Evening Firewatch plays a critical role in facility safety by inspecting the plant immediately after daily production ends. This position monitors the facility during the post-operational cooling period to detect and prevent fires caused by residual heat, friction, or smoldering materials.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Post-shut down shift)

Hours: 20 hours per week

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour
Core Responsibilities
Post-Operation Monitoring for Firewatch:

Conduct continuous foot patrols immediately following the 3:30 PM facility shutdown.

Check machinery, conveyor belts, and sorting bays for residual heat or friction-induced hot spots.

Use thermal imaging or visual checks to scan waste piles for smoldering materials.

Other duties as assigned by management.
Facility Securing for Firewatch:

Verify that all high-heat production equipment is fully powered down and cooling safely.

Ensure all fire lanes, exits, and fire suppression equipment remain completely unobstructed.

Monitor facility CCTV systems from the security desk between scheduled foot patrols.
Emergency & Reporting for Firewatch:

Maintain an hourly log of all patrol findings and facility conditions.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards directly to management.

Activate alarms and coordinate with emergency services instantly if smoke or fire is detected.
Requirements for the Firewatch:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong situational awareness and extreme attention to detail.

Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the 4-hour shift.

Ability to navigate a dark or dimly lit industrial environment safely.

Previous experience in security, fire watch, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.
