Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology for our client in Wisconsin!
Responsibility:
- Provide on-site clinical coverage in a 24-bed Level IIIB NICU
- Assist with resuscitations, deliveries, and morning rounding with note documentation alongside residents
- Perform procedures, including optional circumcisions with Plastibell, and consult on babies over 28 weeks gestation
- Collaborate with skilled transport RNs for patient transfers and care as needed
- Utilize NICView, C-MAC, and other neonatal equipment, with support for GlideScope for intubations
Qualification:
- Board-certified or board-eligible Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in Level IIIB NICU care preferred
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity inpatient setting
Schedule:
- Clinical hours only, 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Sunday
- Ideal schedule: 7-on/7-off, with flexibility to cover two full-time equivalents
- Coverage ongoing starting 6/1/2026
Skills:
- Proficiency in neonatal resuscitations and procedures
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills for NICU patients
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including transport RNs and residents
- Experience with neonatal equipment and technology, including C-MAC, NICView, and GlideScope
