We have several openings for: SHIPPING ASSOCIATE, WESTBURY WAREHOUSE
THIS IS A FULL TIME UNION POSITION with competitive salary, great benefits and more!
Summary: Accurate & timely preparation, packaging & shipment of outgoing goods, maintaining inventory integrity, coordinating with carriers to support smooth, on time deliveries, mainly supporting our OTC Operations.
- Preparing orders, including processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes.
- Inventory managment - keeping track of items, conducting regular inventory checks, ensuring accurate records
- Maintaining Order - organizing & storing items, keeping workspace clean & clutter free
- Using Technology: Utilizing electronic scanning tools, management software, working with Shipping & ERP Systems
- Quality Control: Enssuring accuracy in order fulfillment, checking for proper product descriptions & lot numbers
- Collaborating with IT & Customer Service Departments & outside carrier reps
- Keep Supervisors informed throughout performance of daily duties.
- Know and follow all SOP’s relating to assigned tasks – follow quality service standards & comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Take part in general inventory procedures and year end inventory.
- Other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor, Manager or Director. Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand, bend, and move around for the entire 8 hour shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs – packages and drums.
- Must be able to use all equipment required including forklift, hand truck, pallet jack
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- MUST HAVE good reading, writing and communication skills.
- High school diploma - and some prior experience is a big plus!
MUST HAVE good basic computer skills, ability to use Hand held RF devices & excellent ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Ability to work well on your own AND with others!
