You will support our dedication to delivering a Mexican food dining experience tailored to every guest. As a Busser, you'll help create memorable moments by setting the stage for exceptional service and the vibrant atmosphere of Rodrigo's Mexican Grill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clear and Reset Tables: Remove used dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables and reset them according to restaurant standards.
- Assist Servers: Help servers with the delivery of food and beverages and ensure timely service.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the dining area, including floors and tables, are kept clean and organized.
- Stock Supplies: Replenish supplies such as napkins, silverware, and condiments as needed.
- Manage Trash and Recycling: Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials according to restaurant policies.
- Follow Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Perform Additional Duties: Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements for a Busser:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including trays of food, stacks of dishes, and other items as needed.
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of an entire shift.
- Bending and Stooping: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to clean tables, pick up items from the floor, and perform other tasks.
- Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity for handling small items, such as utensils and glassware, and for cleaning tasks.
- Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push and pull busing carts or other equipment.
- Vision: Visual acuity to ensure tables are properly set and areas are clean.
- Hearing: Ability to hear and respond to customer requests and communicate with team members in a noisy environment.
- Balance and Coordination: Good balance and coordination to carry multiple items and navigate a busy dining area safely.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tasks.
