Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS accurately for order processing and payment handling.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, giving change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food handling tasks such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service delivery while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a quick service & fast food restaurant setting is required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems like square POS is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, handling, and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales upselling, and managing transactions accurately.
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment is mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
