Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including food handling areas
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination
- Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and stovetops
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and uphold quality standards
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
- Ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with health regulations
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining presentation quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred, especially in a culinary or kitchen role
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking methods
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
