This role involves diagnosing and treating conditions related to the foot, ankle, and lower extremities, while also collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and lower extremities to diagnose conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform surgical procedures and taking call as necessary for various podiatric conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
- Stay current with advancements in podiatry and related fields through ongoing research and professional development.
- Educate patients on foot health, preventive care, and post-treatment rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice podiatry.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
