Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality patient care in collaboration with the clinical team. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients within the scope of practice, with a focus on improving access to care, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
The primary goal of this position is to deliver efficient, evidence-based care while supporting continuity, reducing provider workload, and ensuring timely access to treatment for patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and organizational guidelines
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the EHR system
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Ensure appropriate referrals to specialists or additional services when indicated
- Support continuity of care and assist with coverage needs as required
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice (required)
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) required
- 1–3+ years of clinical experience preferred (varies by specialty)
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, or relevant specialty strongly preferred
- Active DEA registration (if prescribing controlled substances is required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage high patient volume efficiently
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical software
- Adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
Work Environment
- Clinical office or outpatient setting
- Direct patient care environment with occasional administrative responsibilities
- Frequent collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- May require flexibility based on patient volume and clinic needs
- Occasional coverage responsibilities as needed for continuity of care
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of computer and EHR systems
- Ability to perform clinical examinations and patient assessments

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
