Job Summary

Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip lines, and controllers using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation infrastructure to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Manage irrigation schedules and system programming to optimize water usage based on soil science principles and landscape requirements.
- Perform soil assessments to determine appropriate watering techniques and ensure healthy turf and plant growth.
- Operate construction equipment such as excavators for system installation or repairs in hard-to-reach areas.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to coordinate irrigation needs with lawn care, horticulture practices, and landscaping projects.
- Maintain detailed records of system inspections, repairs, and modifications for ongoing system performance tracking.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation systems or related equipment.
- Strong electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot wiring issues or controller malfunctions effectively.
- Experience in irrigation management, including system installation, programming, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of soil science principles relevant to irrigation scheduling and water conservation strategies.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as lawn care, horticulture, and general landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor maintenance roles is highly desirable to support complex installations or repairs.
