Position: Full-Time Mental Health Technician (MHT)
Location: Residential Facility – North Miami Beach
Schedule: Day shift (7:30AM-4:00PM) OR Overnight shift (11:30PM-8:00AM), including Saturdays & Sundays, rotating days. Open availability to include weekend work.
About the Role
We’re looking for a caring and dedicated Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our residential care team. In this rewarding role, you’ll support older adults living with mental illness, helping them build independence and maintain dignity in a safe, structured environment.
As an MHT, you’ll be an essential part of our residents’ daily lives—providing hands-on assistance with personal care, encouraging participation in activities, and ensuring every individual feels valued and supported.
What You’ll Do
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Assist new residents with orientation and help them adjust to their environment.
- Follow individualized care and treatment plans created by the clinical team.
- Encourage engagement through educational, recreational, and social activities.
- Conduct room checks, assist with housekeeping and laundry, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Observe, document, and report any changes in behavior or condition.
- Safely transport residents to appointments and community outings utilizing company vehicle.
- Demonstrate respect, patience, and empathy in all interactions.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Prior experience assisting with personal care or ADLs.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must pass Level 2 background screening and drug screening.
