Position Summary
The Behavior Technician at UnityABA works directly with clients under the supervision of a Program Manager and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The primary role is to implement behavior intervention plans, provide one-on-one support, and accurately collect data to assist in the improvement of clients' behavioral skills and quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering services with professionalism, patience, and respect.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Behavior Technicians at UnityABA are expected to perform the following duties:
1. Behavior Intervention Implementation
- Follow individualized behavior intervention plans created by the supervising BCBA.
- Implement behavior-analytic strategies, including discrete trial training, naturalistic teaching, and reinforcement techniques.
2. Data Collection and Documentation
- Accurately collect data on client behaviors, performance, and progress during each session.
- Complete session notes and submit documentation in a timely manner per UnityABA’s policies.
3. Client Support
- Provide one-on-one behavior intervention in clinic, school, home, or community settings as assigned.
- Utilize positive reinforcement and professional communication to engage clients in achieving their goals.
- Address and manage challenging behaviors according to training and client-specific protocols.
4. Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with BCBAs and other team members to review progress and make necessary adjustments to behavior plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients' families and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavior support across environments.
5. Professional Conduct
- Uphold UnityABA’s core values and maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations, to protect client privacy.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required by UnityABA.
Qualifications
- A minimum of high school diploma /GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable Transportation
- Successfully complete Live Scan Background Check, employment verification and TB screening.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
