About the company: We are a small animal, family- owned veterinary clinic in Goodyear that is seeking to add a qualified team member. We are seeking an individual who is responsible, reliable, and motivated. Applicants should have some prior experience in handling and restraining small animals. The position is part time, but it may expand to a full-time position. The position requires good communication skills, as all team members are involved with front desk and reception duties.
Duties and Job Responsibilities:
1) Assist the veterinarian with animal examinations, treatments and procedures, ensuring proper restraint and safety for both animals and staff.
2) Assist in the collection of laboratory samples for diagnostic testing.
3) Assist with the taking and processing of radiographs.
4) Assist with routine venipuncture procedures, IV catheter placement and injectable treatments.
5) Maintain detailed patient medical records, including but not limited to accurate medical history, vaccinations, treatments administered and recommendations.
6) Clean and maintain the clinic with the highest standard of cleanliness.
Qualifications: 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
