Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electronic issues.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace automotive components using hand tools and power tools with precision and safety in mind.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems accurately.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair industry settings.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, and auto estimating procedures.
- Expertise in diesel mechanics, transmissions, and powertrain repairs with a focus on heavy equipment if applicable.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems repair.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical repair instruments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
