Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and mechanical troubleshooting to keep facilities in optimal condition
- Conduct residential painting projects and minor welding repairs with precision and safety in mind
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to accurately diagnose issues
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to assess electrical systems and components
- Manage facilities maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and schedules
- Supervise or assist with small-scale projects, ensuring quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or tenant concerns promptly and professionally
- Lead or support team members in maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, residential painting, welding, electrical work, or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for troubleshooting automated systems
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly and professionally
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple priorities
