About This Role
Kansas State College and Career places recent college graduates inside partner high schools to guide students through every step of post-secondary and workforce planning: two- or four-year college, technical certificates, apprenticeships, military, and direct-to-work pathways. As a KSCAC Advisor you become the school's go-to resource for applications, financial aid, career exploration, and employer connections.
Worksite
This position is On-site. Two positions are available following a hub-based hybrid coverage model, in which the advisor’s designated “hub workspace” is their primary remote work location (typically their residence), located within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned cluster schools. Typical weekly pattern during the school year:
- Three (3) in-school anchor days per week, rotating across the three cluster schools
- One (1) virtual advising day per week, delivered from the hub workspace, dedicated to one-to-one and small-group sessions with cluster students and families.
- One (1) flex / administrative / professional-development day per week, used for events, training, school-event makeups, and KSCAC activities.

- Northeast Kansas Cluster. Cluster schools: Wellsville High School (USD 289), Wabaunsee High School (USD 329), and Onaga High School (USD 322). Hub flexibility: Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan, Wamego or any location with reasonable commuting access to all three schools.
- Southeast Kansas Cluster. Cluster schools: Caney Valley High School (USD 436), Sedan High School (USD 286), and Hamilton High School (USD 390).
