We are currently looking for a Full Time IT Data Center Manager to join our Datacenter Operations team located at the Information Technology working .
Summary:
Oversees all aspects of data centers and be the “gatekeeper” of the data centers and all associated IDFs across the Chickasaw Nation. Contributes minimized outages and a reduction in cost through proper asset management. Creates, deploys and enforces processes as it relates to access, maintenance and upkeep of all data centers and IDFs across the Chickasaw Nation.
Responsibilities:
- Define how the scope, goals, and deliverables as it relates to all data centers should support business goals, in collaboration with senior management
- Effectively manage time and allocate resources to ensure deliverables are completed
- Where required, negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
- Escort requestors (especially vendors) into the rooms and monitor their activity
- Ensure all installs, moves, adds, and changes are properly documented
- Ensure new equipment location is documented and added to configuration management database
- Ensure equipment removed is documented with new location or marked for decommissioning
- Ensure cabling is properly loomed and adheres to the standards set forth by the Chickasaw Nation IT Data Center cabling standards document
- Ensure surveillance cameras are installed in all IDF, MDF, and data centers
- Ensure all rack, cabinet, IDF, data center temperature sensors are installed, monitored, and maintained
- Ensure HVAC is being maintained on a regular basis
- Effectively monitor all UPS devices
- Ensure UPSs are being maintained on a regular basis and adhere to life cycle management for replacement
- Direct and manage development of all data center processes from beginning to end
- Develop best practices, techniques, and tools for proper data center management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics
- Communicate data center standards and techniques and provide training/mentorship for staff where necessary
- Participate in after action reports and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful installs, moves, adds, and changes
- Attend and actively participate in weekly project team meetings as scheduled
- Provide guidance to others on data center initiatives, standards, frameworks, and processes
- Other tasks as necessary to ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective support and implementation of new strategic initiatives or other projects supporting the company’s growth and business plan
- Stay up to date on new technologies and standards within the field of data center management and provide recommendations for potential changes as technology evolves
- Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency

- Preferred Associates: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, business-related field or equivalent. Preferred: Training 5+ years Eight (8) years of data center management experience Preferred: Training 0 - 6 months Five (5) years direct work experience in a Data Center Manager capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

- Certified Data Center Design Professional CDCDP
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position
- Standard Driver's License
Working Conditions:

- Transport new hires to other locations within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries
