Description/Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine materials and dimensions needed
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools
- Build and install structures such as framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, stairs, and trim
- Erect and inspect scaffolding and ladders for safe access to job sites
- Repair and replace damaged wood structures
- Ensure work complies with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a carpenter or in a related trade
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, levels, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and building codes
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Unwavering standard of excellence and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal carpentry apprenticeship or trade certification a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Experience with both rough and finish carpentry
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems as they relate to carpentry work
Compensation & Benefits
- $16-20/hour
