Greeter (Customer Experience Specialist)

Position Summary
At 4TwentySomewhere, our Greeter is the first impression of our dispensary. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment while ensuring every guest is checked in safely and efficiently. As the first point of contact, the Greeter sets the tone for an exceptional customer experience by greeting every guest with enthusiasm, verifying identification, managing customer flow, and providing general information about our store and promotions.
We pride ourselves on offering personalized service—not kiosks—so our Greeter plays a key role in connecting customers with the right team members and ensuring every visit starts on the right foot.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Verify all customer IDs and ensure compliance with New Jersey cannabis regulations.
- Check customers into the dispensary using the POS/check-in system.
- Maintain awareness of occupancy limits and manage customer flow during busy periods.
- Inform guests of current promotions, loyalty program benefits, and daily specials.
- Answer general questions regarding the dispensary, products, and purchasing process.
- Direct customers to available budtenders when appropriate.
- Keep the lobby, waiting area, and entrance clean, organized, and inviting.
- Monitor the entrance to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Communicate effectively with security and management regarding any concerns.
- Assist with phone inquiries and basic customer service as needed.
- Support other team members during slower periods with light operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or reception experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding compliance procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge is a plus.
- Must pass all required background checks and meet all New Jersey cannabis employment requirements.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of each shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
