Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primers in accordance with construction surface preparation standards.
- Execute painting tasks using hand tools, brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and airless paint spraying), and other equipment to achieve smooth, even coats
- Apply various coatings such as paint, stain, varnish, or industrial finishes on different surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, and concrete.
- Follow safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols during hazardous tasks like spray painting or working at heights.
- Maintain tools and equipment including power tools and hand tools; perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial and industrial painting environments a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, sanders; familiarity with power tools including spray guns and welding equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and fall prevention measures a plus.
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or trim carpentry; ability to adapt quickly to different project needs is a plus.
- Willingness to learn.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
