Shift Sunday through Thursday 1000 PM to 600 AM
Pay 22.00 per hour to start

Position Summary
The Slitter Set Up Operator assists in operating slitting and related production equipment used to cut continuous lengths of steel to precise widths and surface requirements This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer and company specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review production schedules and work orders to prepare for upcoming jobs
Communicate job requirements effectively with team members operating the slitter line
Identify and report scheduling inaccuracies or production issues
Assist in correcting setup problems and verify machine setups before production begins
Load steel coils onto the machine uncoiler and inspect incoming materials
Feed material through slitter knives and operate machine controls
Monitor production to ensure quality accuracy and safety standards are met
Stop operations when defects or safety concerns are identified
Remove and transport finished slit coils to weighing and packaging areas
Assist with banding tagging and packaging materials for shipment
Maintain inventory of knives and rubber spacers used in the slitting process
Support a safe organized and team focused work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
Ability to read work orders production schedules and inventory tags
Experience using measuring and inspection tools such as micrometers tape measures and bar mics
Experience operating forklifts jib cranes coil cars or similar industrial equipment is preferred
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Ability to lift and move materials as required
