Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration, injections, suturing, and other procedures such as dermal fillers or Botox treatments.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses across various specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and internal medicine.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, or specimen collection/processing to inform clinical decisions.
- Provide patient education on health coaching, medication management, nutrition, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or telehealth platforms to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in advanced practice nursing.
- Proven experience in emergency medicine, critical care (ICU or PICU), hospital medicine, or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience performing procedures like IV infusion/insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, tube feeding management, suturing, and sterile processing techniques.
- Skilled in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), hospice & palliative medicine or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or trauma centers with Level I & II experience.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: $115,208.70 - $138,745.97 per year
