Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated JV Volleyball Coach to inspire and develop student-athletes in a dynamic, supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead volleyball teams at the varsity and junior varsity levels, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence. As a coach, you will play a vital role in shaping student-athletes’ skills both on and off the court, promoting a positive sporting experience that encourages growth, discipline, and confidence.
Duties
- Plan and execute engaging practices that develop volleyball skills, tactics, and team cohesion
- Lead team strategies during games, making real-time adjustments to optimize performance
- Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork
- Monitor player safety during practices and competitions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Provide mentorship and support to student-athletes, encouraging personal development and academic success
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and athletic administrators team updates
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance evaluations, and game statistics
Qualifications
- Prior experience coaching volleyball at the varsity or junior varsity level is preferred
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and game strategies
- Experience working with students in educational or extracurricular settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior and promote positive conduct among student-athletes
- Background in sports coaching is highly desirable
- Skills in behavior management, leadership, and motivation to inspire student-athletes
- Additional certifications such as CPR/AED/ first aid training
