Overview
Happy Kids Camps and Enrichment classes seeks Experienced Children's specialty enrichment class instructors for 1 hour classes- 1-2 per afternoon depending on availability, taught in elementary schools, Tues, Wed, Thurs between 1:30 and 4:15pm.
Ages 4.5-10yrs
Locations of schools in Berkeley, Pinole, Piedmont
$80-$100/per class depending on experience
+ for craft classes due to extra prep and clean up time required
Current class openings include:
Crafts and Fitness Cooperation Games( 4.5-8 yrs)- Berkeley, Pinole and Piedmont
K-pop and tumbling (6-10 yrs) Pinole
Pickleball( 7-10 yrs) -Berkeley (assistant position)

Requirements:

*Minimum 5 years experience teaching 10+ students/class as the sole instructor, ages 4-10yrs. * If less than 5 yrs experience, some assistant classes are available.
*Available to teach 1-3 afternoons/week, minus school holidays,
Sept 1-Dec 17 2026
*Excellent classroom management skills
*Personal transportation to/from class locations, including supplies needed for each class.
*Ability to store at home, specific class supplies provided by Happy Kids throughout the session
*Excellent communication skills, and willingness to check email daily.
*Fingerprints, background check and negative TB test
*1st interview, 30-40 mins on Zoom, 2nd interview will include teaching students in person with the owner(15mins).
*One, in person training session(first is scheduled for Sat. 8/22, and more dates will be added as needed).

-Crafts and Fitness Games -Wednesdays 1:35-2:35(4.5-7yrs) start date 9/7
-Crafts and Fitness Games -Thursdays 2:20-3:20( 4.5-5.5yrs)- start date asap
-Pickleball (assistant $60/class) Wednesdays 2:20-3:20- start date flexible, 9/2
Pinole
Crafts and Fitness Games- Tuesdays 1:25-2:25 (4-5yrs) start date 9/1
K-pop Dance and Tumbling -Tuesdays 2:25-3:45 (6-10 yrs) 9/1
Experience teaching after school enrichment classes is HIGHLY preferred, but these classes are SPECIALTY Enrichment Classes, so applicants need to be trained and/or educated in the class styles they are applying to teach!
All Classes are taught one day per week, M-F at various elementary schools. Often there is only one class per afternoon available, although sometimes 2 back to back.

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour

- Are you willing and able to store and transport Happy Kid's equipment and supplies required for the classes you will teach weekly?
- Which styles of classes, and for how many years have you taught group classes of 4-10 yr olds? How many were in your largest class that you lead on your own( no assistant)?
- Which city would you most likely be starting your commute from? How many miles are you willing to drive to teach a 1 hour class?
- Do you drive a car? Equipment needs to be transported to classes, including a few larger items for certain classes, ie. mats
- Which afternoons will you be available, M-F, between 1:30 and 4:30pm, through December 17th? Most classes are 1 hr with a couple exceptions. We Do Not offer Saturday classes.
