Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings, including acute, chronic, and specialized care environments. As an independent practitioner, you will leverage your extensive clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign measurements, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious diseases, geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal and toddler care), hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health issues.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for detailed medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT).
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with specialists in gastroenterology, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, anesthesiology (airway management), and other disciplines for comprehensive patient management.
- Engage in case management activities such as discharge planning, utilization review, and working with patients in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care environments, and sub-acute care centers.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing patient care standards.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics like nutrition, medication adherence, chronic disease management, family planning, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with authorization for autonomous practice and prescriptive authority.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program; certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or relevant specialty certification.
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine; emergency medicine; or urgent care environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; experience with medical documentation coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT).
- Strong clinical skills across multiple specialties including dermatology (dermal fillers), esthetic laser treatments, spinal tap procedures, phlebotomy/venipuncture; familiarity with telehealth technology is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques; experience managing infectious diseases is a plus.
- Ability to perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary or vascular), gastric lavage or tube feeding management.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatric patients in memory or dementia care settings; working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities is desirable.
