Freelance Choreographer
Reports to: Performance Companies Manager
Dance Connection is currently accepting submissions from talented freelance choreographers to join our team for the 2026 competition season. This opportunity is for individuals interested in choreographing original solo, duo, and trio routines for our competitive dancers under a work-for-hire agreement.
About the Role:
You’ll work with students of varying levels and abilities to create dynamic, age-appropriate, and competition-ready routines. Our studio places a strong emphasis on both training and performance, and we are looking for choreographers who share this dual focus.
Key Qualifications:
- A portfolio of original competition choreography, specifically solos, duos, and trios
- Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, not just advanced dancers
- A strong commitment to training, education, and individualized student development
- A choreography reel that includes a range of ability levels, not just elite performers
- Ability to commute to our Long Island studio (Islip); local applicants preferred
