Overview

Duties
- Develop, coordinate, and execute community outreach strategies to engage underserved populations effectively
- Manage volunteer programs by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing community volunteers
- Lead public speaking engagements at community events, schools, and partner organizations to promote programs and services
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to strengthen community partnerships
- Design and implement grassroots outreach campaigns utilizing social media platforms and traditional marketing methods to raise awareness
- Collect and analyze data on community needs, program participation, and outreach effectiveness to inform future initiatives
- Organize youth programs and educational workshops that foster community engagement and personal development
- Provide addiction counseling referrals and support as part of holistic health promotion efforts
- Ensure all outreach activities adhere to safety protocols including CPR certification when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, volunteer hours, participant feedback, and program outcomes
Skills
- Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams in community settings
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences
- Strong program development skills with a focus on community health or social services
- Effective project management abilities to plan, execute, and evaluate outreach initiatives
- Proficiency in marketing strategies including social media management and content creation
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure program impact
- Bilingual abilities highly preferred for serving multilingual communities
- Experience working with culturally diverse or underserved populations in a community outreach context
- Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and public health practices
- Leadership experience in grassroots organizing or youth programming is advantageous
- Exceptional written communication skills for reports, grant applications, and promotional materials
- Technical proficiency with computers, social media tools, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Client communication expertise with a compassionate approach toward community members
- Fundraising experience beneficial for supporting program sustainability
- Administrative experience including record-keeping, scheduling, and reporting
