Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects, from framing and drywall installation to finishing touches like trim and cabinetry. Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood and metal components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
- Perform framing, siding, roofing, drywall installation, and finishing work such as trim carpentry and cabinet installation.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper use of power tool safety protocols.
- Fabricate custom woodwork or metal components as needed for specific project requirements.
- Install fixtures, doors, windows, moldings, and other architectural elements with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site while adhering to all safety regulations related to construction site experience.
- Installing laminate countertops, cabinets, sinks, bathroom vanities.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential carpentry with a strong understanding of construction estimating and blueprint reading.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, masonry equipment, and woodworking machines.
- Knowledge of construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in framing (metal stud framing), drywall finishing, flooring installation (tile & flooring), and door hanging.
- Familiarity with building materials such as wood construction materials, siding materials, rebar for concrete forming, and other related supplies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple tasks efficiently on-site.
- Electrical experience for fixture installation or basic wiring tasks is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for fabrication or assembly work.
