Summary
The Customer Service Support (Temporary, with possibility to convert) role provides essential coverage for daily customer service and order processing activities during a short-term absence. This position supports basic order entry, customer communication, and coordination with internal teams to help ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The role focuses on transactional tasks and escalates more complex issues as needed.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required):
· Process customer orders, changes, and updates in SAP or internal systems
· Serve as a point of contact for basic customer inquiries, including order status and shipment timing
· Review purchase orders for accuracy and alignment with quoted terms
· Coordinate with planning, shipping, and logistics teams to support timely order fulfillment
· Monitor open orders and follow up on pending items or delays
· Document customer communication and maintain accurate order records
· Support basic issue resolution and escalate complex concerns as needed
· Provide general administrative and operational support to the customer service team
What is required for the role:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· ERP experience (SAP Sales & Distribution module highly preferred)
· Minimum 2 years experience in customer service, order entry, or administrative support preferred
· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Customer Account representative, order entry, administrative: 2 years (Required)
- SAP: 1 year (Preferred)
