Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) is a growing multidisciplinary mental health organization dedicated to providing accessible, evidence-based care across Wisconsin. We are committed to developing the next generation of behavioral health professionals through structured clinical training, mentorship, and supervision.
As a premier clinical training site, we partner with universities and graduate programs to provide exceptional internship, practicum, and post-graduate training experiences. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and visionary Training Director to lead our expanding clinical education programs and ensure excellence in supervision, professional development, and training outcomes.
The Training Director provides strategic leadership for all clinical training and supervision programs across the organization. This position combines educational leadership, operational oversight, and direct clinical supervision of designated trainees while serving as the primary training resource and point of contact for all trainees to cultivate a strong learning culture that supports both clinician growth and exceptional patient care.
The Training Director serves as the organization's educational leader, ensuring trainees receive high-quality supervision, structured onboarding, and ongoing professional development while maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, accreditation standards, university agreements, and organizational policies.
This position combines educational leadership, operational oversight, and limited direct clinical supervision to cultivate a strong learning culture that supports both clinician growth and exceptional patient care.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's clinical training curriculum.
Design and oversee structured onboarding programs for trainees and newly licensed clinicians.
Create and facilitate educational seminars, workshops, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Evaluate emerging training needs and implement evidence-based educational initiatives.
Provide direct clinical supervision and mentorship for up to four supervisees.
Ensure supervision practices comply with Wisconsin licensing requirements, ethical standards, and professional best practices.
Guide trainee progression through competency-based development milestones.
Support supervisors with consultation, coaching, and supervision resources.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and ethical practice.
Oversee training cohort scheduling, case assignments, and workload distribution to maximize educational value and clinical utilization.
Monitor trainee documentation, productivity expectations, scheduling compliance, and adherence to organizational workflows.
Develop systems for tracking supervision hours, evaluations, competencies, and licensing requirements.
Analyze program outcomes and recommend improvements based on quality metrics.
Serve as the primary liaison with universities, graduate programs, and academic partners.
Build and maintain relationships with counseling, psychology, and social work programs.
Coordinate internship, practicum, and residency agreements.
Represent BHC at university events, career fairs, and recruitment activities.
Support recruitment efforts to attract high-quality trainees and future clinicians.
Implement standardized trainee performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, university requirements, payer expectations, and organizational policies.
Monitor documentation quality and provide coaching when needed.
Assist in maintaining accreditation and training program standards.
Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Clinical Directors, Testing Services, and Administrative Leadership to optimize training operations.
Serve as the communication bridge between clinical and administrative teams.
Participate in organizational planning and strategic initiatives related to workforce development.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and a positive learning culture throughout the organization.
Remain available to provide consultation during clinical emergencies or ensure appropriate supervisory coverage.
Support ethical decision-making and risk management among trainees and supervisors.
Assist with complex clinical cases as needed.
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or another related behavioral health discipline.
Current unrestricted Wisconsin clinical license in good standing (LP, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
Eligible for credentialing with Wisconsin Medicaid and commercial insurance payers.
Minimum of five (5) years of post-licensure clinical experience.
Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision.
Experience developing or managing internship, practicum, residency, or clinician training programs.
Leadership or management experience within a behavioral health setting preferred.

Approved Wisconsin Clinical Supervisor (or ability to obtain approval).
Experience with APA, CACREP, CSWE, or other accredited training models.
Experience supervising multidisciplinary behavioral health teams.
Experience in program development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
