Our Cooks are responsible for preparing fresh, delicious, and healthy meals for our residents. With meals served three times a day, dining is immensely important to the quality of life our residents enjoy. Cooks must work safely and diligently, under the direction of our Food Service Director, to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a commercial kitchen. The right person will be hardworking and enthusiastic about working in a team environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals based on the day’s orders
- Prepare food based on standardized recipes without substitution
- Enforce sanitation, food safety, and food storage regulation
- Assist in supervision of dietary aides, servers, and dishwashers
- Plan cooking schedules and ensure meals are served on time
- Assist and supervise at catered and special events
- Interact cheerfully with residents, getting to know dietary restrictions, likes, and dislikes
- Other tasks as requested by supervisor
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Previous food service experience preferred
